The Resource Specialist Program

The Resource Specialist Program supports students, teachers and parents in a variety of ways. When children are struggling to learn, we collaborate with general education staff to identify and implement changes.

Student Success Team (SST)
Students in the RSP program benefit by remaining in their regular class for the majority of the day and spending part of the day in the Resource Specialist Room.

If problems continue, SST explores concerns with teachers and parents. Changes are implemented. A few weeks later SST reconvenes. Is the student improve? If not, SST may recommend individualized formal assessment.
